I have been playing in Jill's book to continue our visual dialogue. I cut out the circle Jill had left blank on her page so that the following page shows through. Then I got out my water soluble pastels and set to work. Here is what emerged. First Jill's page then mine.

Jill Sullivan and I have been doing Visual Dialogue (vidi) for awhile now, in a slow and meandering manner. We each have a book in which we make images, then we swap and respond to what we see in images, then we swap and respond and swap and respond and so on.  Jill currently has my book but today I received hers in the post. She has started a new book and produced this. Now it's up to me to respond.

Spring Green returns

I have received the returns from the Spring Green fabric postcard swap and here they are. The first is by Wendy Kirk and the second by Beth Power. They will make lovely additions to my album. 

Tree wall hanging

Over the last couple of years I have made a series of wall hangings through a combination of fabric collage and concentrated running stitch. The first was of a tree against the night sky.

Spring Green fabric postcards

I've been making postcards for a swap on MixedMediaGroup_uk. The theme is Spring Green and it seemed a good opportunity to use some of the fabric I painted back in the Autumn. I then couched on some wool in flower shapes using variegated thread.

They've gone off in the post today and I'm eagerly awaiting my returns.
